Storyteller. Strategist. Bridge Builder.
Hi, I’m Mayisha—a communication strategist, writer, and advocate for intentional, human-first storytelling. I believe in the power of language not just to inform, but to heal, connect, and transform.
My journey began in Bangladesh, where I grew up navigating cultural rigidity and systemic inequities that stifled individuality. In a world where silence was expected—and often enforced—I learned early that silence sustains harm, but stories can dismantle it.
That belief has shaped every step of my path. For over five years, I’ve led digital campaigns, shaped audience-first strategies, and collaborated with purpose-driven brands and nonprofits to uplift underrepresented voices. Now, as a Master’s candidate in Public Relations and Advertising at USC Annenberg, I’m focused on reimagining communication as a force for equity, sustainability, and collective liberation.
I don’t believe in innovation for innovation’s sake. I believe in innovation with intention:
• Technology that serves people, not exploits them.
• Mental health advocacy that breaks cycles of stigma.
• Economies that regenerate rather than extract.
Living with ADHD and PTSD has taught me that inclusion isn’t just a professional value—it’s deeply personal. I’m committed to creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, especially those who have been historically “othered.”
I’m currently based in Los Angeles, rooted in global perspectives and a deep desire to make meaningful change. Whether through writing, campaign strategy, creative direction, or future ADHD advocacy, I’m driven by three principles: care, connection, and contribution.
I’m here to collaborate with people, institutions, and movements that prioritize people and the planet over profit, that embrace nuance over noise, and that are unafraid to rethink what real progress looks like.
I’ve walked through fire—through oppression, through rejection, through narratives that told me I wasn’t enough. I carry those stories with me, not as wounds but as a torch. So if you’re building something real, something that dares to make the world a little kinder, I’d love to build it with you.
My Values
I believe the future of communication must be regenerative—serving people and the planet, not exploiting them. In a world consumed by hyper-individualism and consumerism, I choose a different path: one guided by community care, shared humanity, and ethical innovation.
1. Connection over isolation
2. Compassion over performance
3. Truth over convenience
4. Progress over profit
These aren’t just values—they’re practices. And they shape everything I do. From ADHD advocacy to brand strategy, I approach each opportunity as a chance to build bridges and challenge the status quo.
